Where to see 4th of July fireworks in San Diego

There is no shortage of fireworks when it comes to celebrating 4th of July in America’s Finest City. Here is a list of events to help you decide where to enjoy Independence Day festivities:

Around San Diego Bay
Enjoy the Big Bay Boom fireworks (with music on broadcast) which will be launched at 9pm from the following locations: Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, Marina District and Coronado Ferry Landing. Details including map and transportation/parking on Big Bay Boom.

Coronado Beach
Coronado will celebrate Independence Day the entire day starting with a Run/Walk at 7am and ending with fireworks at 9pm. There will be many activities in between including a parade, parachute drop, and concert. Details here.

Ocean Beach
Enjoy fireworks off the OB Pier at 9pm (with music broadcast). More details here.

La Jolla
Enjoy fireworks at la Jolla Cove at 9pm. More details here.

San Diego County Fair
Fireworks start at 9pm at the Heineken Grandstand Stage and can be seen from many locations at the Fairgrounds. More info here.

Imperial Beach
Fireworks start at 9pm at the IB Pier (with music broadcast). Live music at the Pier Plaza after the show. More details here.

Chula Vista
Fireworks start at 9pm at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. Gates open at 6pm. More details here.

San Marcos/Vista/Oceanside
Fireworks start at 9pm at Bradley Park in San Marcos. Entertainment by Liquid Blue starts at 6pm. More details here.

Fireworks start at 9pm at Brengle Terrace Park in Vista. Gates open at 5pm for dinner and military salutes. More details here.

Fireworks in Oceanside take place right round Rancho del Oro on Monday July 3rd at 9pm.  Festivities and parades have already begun and last all through July 4th. More info here.

Lake Murray/Santee/El Cajon
Live music and food will abound in Lake Murray Community Park starting at 11am with the fireworks set to begin at 9pm. More details here.

Live music and food at the Town Center Community Park East in Santee kick off at 3:30pm with fireworks at 9pm. More details here.

Food, games, train ride for kids, live music kick off at 1pm at Kennedy Park in El Cajon with fireworks at 9pm. More details here.

Escondido/Mira Mesa/Poway
Festivities begin at 4pm at the Great Green in Escondido with live music, food, various activities and VIP Beer Tasting for the first 600 guests with tickets. Fireworks at 9pm. More details here.

Pancake breakfast and family fun day at the Mira Mesa Community Park starting at 7am, ending with fireworks at 9pm (with music broadcast) launched from the Mira Mesa High School. More details here.

Music and activities begin at 6pm in Poway, at Poway High School. Fireworks at 9pm. More details here.

Rancho Bernardo
Community fair opens at 9am with a parade at 3:30pm. Live music and food begin at 6pm at the Athletic Field of Bernardo Heights Middle School, with fireworks set to begin at 9pm. More details here.
