carolinerander_sandiegorealtor A week ago, the girls and I went for our very first run together! It was lovely but a little tough for Zoe, who doesn’t have much running experience. After a mile her legs started cramping and she kept saying it was hard, so we capped it at 2 miles and just enjoyed being together in this new way. Today, we set out again, this time with the goal of hitting 5K. At 2 miles she started to fade, so I told her to let her body take over and quiet her doubts. We noticed the nature around us, talked about everything and nothing… and before we knew it, we’d passed 5K! Her first time ever and Izzy ran even longer which was a first for her as well 🥳🙌🏻 I could tell they were so proud, even if they don’t always say it out loud. There’s nothing like seeing your kids do what they thought they couldn’t. Aiming for a 10K challenge soon 🤫☺️
